Oregon Ag Fest is a fun two-day, hands-on, activity-filled festival for the whole family! Now in its 38rd year, the event was created to help better educate the public about the importance of agriculture and its economic impact - showing people such things as where the food they eat comes from, how sheep are raised for wool to make clothing, the role of forests for ecological health, and so on.

Kids 15 and under receive free admission, and virtually all activities are free of charge, thanks to the generous support of sponsors. Kids can ride ponies, plant seedlings, watch sheep get sheared, pet farm animals, and much more. Join them at the Oregon State Fairgrounds in Salem on Saturday, Apr. 26, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and on Sunday, Apr. 27, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are $15 for ages 16 and up, parking is free in orange and gravel lots.
